About Us

Transactility

Transactility has a comprehensive commercial licensing offering for companies and users who do not want to distribute and share the source code of their jPOS based applications under the AGPL license..

We are strong believers in the benefits of open-source code for all the stakeholders of a software project and are fully committed to open-source principles and fundamentals.

jPOS, jPOS-EE and some related products are licensed under the open-source GNU Affero General Public License version 3 (AGPL v3).The AGPL license allows the user to modify and redistribute the software, as long as all changes are also published back and available under the AGPL v3 license.

jPOS extremely scalable and reliable solutions target very large, medium or small companies that handle very sensitive data (payments and authorizations) and that believe their software modifications are equally sensitive. Thus, the Quid Pro Quo principle of something-for-something, in which a relatively modest commercial license fee frees the user from the AGPL license restrictions seems like an ideal option for these companies. Many times, jPOS commercial license fee is ridiculously low compared to other market solutions and to the overall cost of the project where jPOS software is involved.

Transactility was created to service these companies, and to provide a comprehensive package of Commercial Licenses and Services for jPOS based software projects.

jPOS.org

jPOS is an open-source, mission-critical enterprise software, based on International Organization for Standardization transaction card originated messages standard (ISO-8583).

jPOS.org is the home for the jPOS project and is led by jPOS creator, Alejandro Revilla. The original software was initially written on a tight time-frame to replace the software running the local Visanet. Under a project code-named Zero Crash jPOS has proven to be a superior solution over the prior one it replaced. VISANet, who still runs on jPOS, is confident that not a single company but an open-source community which may include several companies and individuals can provide support for its mission-critical software.
